Our team is a tight knit group that works as hard for each other as we do for our clients and community partners. We’re seeking a Senior Graphic Designer who will complement our passion for art, copy and results.

The Senior Graphic Designer will work closely with internal team members to complete graphic and creative assets with a keen sense of modern layout and design. They will provide creative and unique solutions that align with brand guidelines and the strategies that drive them. Killer communication skills coupled with the ability to infuse project research and positioning into design direction will help the successful candidate exceed client expectations.

  • Open and collaborative;
  • Can generate ideas independently and collaboratively including working against a brief to generate multiple clear, creative concepts;
  • Has their own style but doesn’t mind fleshing out someone else’s ideas when required;
  • Can give and take constructive feedback;
  • Has a strong sense of craft;
  • Has a passion for all things design, from print to web and everything in between;
  • Can easily work across core disciplines (traditional, digital, UX, UI) and loves to play, experiment and improve;
  • Has a strong understanding that modern marketing and communications operates at the intersection of psychology, creativity and technology, and has the chops with tools of the trade to get sh*t done;
  • Communicates and collaborates comfortably with all team members, contractors, and clients;
  • Uses industry knowledge and experience to move through the iterative design process as required;
  • Builds on a project’s strategic and artistic direction while contributing unique ideas and solutions to help accomplish client goals and produce remarkable work.  

Duties & Responsibilities

An integral part of project teams, the Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation of functional, beautiful and persuasive design positions that give meaning, a voice and visual identity to brands, products and causes. This role is key to helping solve meaningful problems through interface, web, and print design. This includes a strong understanding of both design theory and the practical tools to get things done, as well as the ability to work across disciplines (research, strategy, design). The successful candidate will have consistent and effective communication skills, including the ability to make a strong case for design and to point to a cooler, faster, more persuasive and cost effective route to awesomeness.

Skills and Expertise

  • A College diploma, University degree, or relevant job-related experience. We also welcome self-taught learners who have a built-in passion for design;
  • 5+ years experience in a marketing communications environment  
  • Extensive experience with the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc., and a strong understanding of various Google Workspace Applications, collaborative communication tools;
  • Strong understanding of design principles and methodologies; proficient in digital & print production and design;
  • A critical eye for branding with exceptional knowledge of colour systems, artwork preparation and and attention to detail around the print production process;
  • Experience with video production and/or photography would an asset;
  • Can work collaboratively with other passionate marketing professionals;
  • Desire and skills to manage conflicting priorities (seriously);
  • Strong planning and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly re-prioritize and react positively to change;
  • Comfort with a touch of design-focused copywriting or editing here and there.
