Books make us smart. (There's a better way to say this but it's early and my copy partner is playing peek-a-boo.)
Every successful entrepreneur at some point in their personal manifesto, interview or bio usually references a piece of literature that inspired them. Not something that was good, but something that altered their perspectives, their goals or radically altered their direction -- their Tipping Point, if you will.
In the spirit of creating a community of ideas, we're inviting readers to contribute a top 5 of works or authors that have inspired them.
Here's five books (based on the rec's of others) on our to-read list:
- Seneca - Letters From a Stoic
- The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing
- Getting Real - The smarter, faster, easier way to build a succesful web application (NOTE: Not just for code ninjas)
- Surely you're joking Mr. Feynman
There's a reason experts recommend reading to babies as soon as they arrive. In addition to contributing to important conceptual and vocabulary development, it helps them experience the world around them in a way simple conversation (or 140 characters) cannot.
Don't fret, we still love you Twitter.
