Academica Group (Academica) has a track record of more than 20 years of higher education research and consulting, supporting universities and colleges across North America. As with most busy consulting firms, Academica has always been focused on building the capacity of their clients in an ever-changing landscape, not necessarily on their own brand and marketing. A decade-long partner, Academica turned to sagecomm to build out a comprehensive brand identity system built on their long standing brand mark, and to collaborate on strategies to amplify Academica’s voice and thought leadership in new and innovative ways.
Building on an established logo and core colour palette, a refreshed voice, tone and style guide was built for Academica and their various owned channels, and then translated into a refreshed and contemporary visual identity system, including reimagined typography, a complementary secondary palette, and an engaging photography library. Modern iconography, along with a reinvented monogrammed brand mark, completed the system, which was then applied to fresh creative assets and templates, including prescribed formats for various types of reports and presentations, and Academica’s social media channels. A content marketing plan and social media guidelines and tools rounded out the package that will allow Academica to broadcast a consistent and enduring voice, all supported with timely strategic coaching from the sagecomm team.
